Accreditation History of GTKEC

Since 2022, private FET colleges in South Africa have been required to register with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to ensure compliance with national education standards. Initially, accreditation was handled by SETAs, allowing colleges to offer recognized occupational programs.

As the system evolved, the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) became the main body for accrediting occupational qualifications, ensuring programs meet national standards for curriculum, assessment, and outcomes.

Today, GTKEC is proudly accredited by the QCTO, confirming that our students receive recognized, high-quality qualifications in occupational and technical education.
